FORENSIC ENGINEERING (CPC) SEMINAR IN FLORIDA  -  Friday January 5, 2007

The National Academy of Forensic Engineers [NAFE], an Affiliate of NSPE,  will provide

16 contact hours of CPCs useful for PE's toward license renewals.  Full day sessions

will be held at Ponte Vedra, FL [near Jacksonville] on Sat. and Sun January 6th and 7th, 2007.

Lectures will emphasize how competent, ethical and objective expertise is applied in the

legal system.

The first day includes topics from the practice of Biomedical Engineering, Welding Code

Compliance, Lawnmower Backover Accidents, Daubert Admissibility Challenges, Towed

Vehicle (trailer) Weaving, Repeated Highway RR Crossing Accidents, Medical Device

Failures, Hunting Stand Accidents, Residential House Foundation Failures and New Federal

Rules for Admissibility of Electronic Data.

 

The second day will go in depth into the "Rights and Responsibilities of the Forensic

Engineering Expert Witness" led by a panel of experienced senior FE's and Attorneys.
