NAFE SPECIAL SEMINAR
By: The National Academy of Forensic Engineers Education Committee Chairman,
W. T. 'Dusty' Yaxley, P.E., CSP (NAFE 270F)
The NAFE Special Seminar, coordinated by NAFE Education Chairman "Dusty" Yaxley will concentrate on Ethical aspects related to various phases of the Forensic Engineering practice. The January 2013 Special Seminar will be presented by the following:
1. Jesse Grantham, Contracts, Billing and Getting Paid.
2. Mike Leshner, Reports and what must be included and what should not be included.
3. Art Schwartz, Legal and Ethical problems the Forensic Engineer must consider.
4. Ross Curtis will be presenting Ethical business considerations and will be presenting jointly with Art Schwartz.
Attendees will be sent several reports, by Mike Leshner, reports and the Engineers Code of Ethics should be read prior to the seminar and he will encourage a lively discussion of different Ethical and personal decisions for various aspects of Report Writing.
With PE licensing boards beginning to require specific CPD's related to the Ethics of PE practice as a condition for license renewal [ !! ], this kind of instruction will be increasingly important and necessary. We look forward to a lively discussion of the various aspects of Ethical Practice specifically as it relates to Forensic Engineers.
