NAFE newsletters and articles

Dear NAFE Applicant:

This responds to your recent indication of interest in the National Academy of Forensic Engineers (NAFE).  NAFE is an independent corporation closely affiliated with the National Society of Professional Engineers and has attracted a membership of enviable quality.  NAFE is also a Charter Member of the Council of Engineering and Science specialty Boards.  All persons accepted to membership in NAFE will be designated as CESB Board Certified Diplomates in Forensic Engineering through NAFE.

There are four major conditions precedent for eligibility for NAFE membership:

(1) Professional Rngineering registration;

(2) Membership in NSPE;

(3) Membership in an appropriate recognized national engineering technical society; and

(4) Experience in forensic engineering including court testimony. All members are pledged to the highest ethical standards forensic engineering practice.

For your convenience, the online application has a link to the reference form you will print, copy, and send to your references along with a stamped envelope addressed to the senior VP, whose address is on the form.

Please note that there are three grades of membership. You should apply for that grade which you feel you are qualified to earn. Contact the Senior VP should you require assistance with the application process.  After your application is reviewed, you will get a message to set up a phone call with a NAFE officer.

If you are also interested in active service on an NAFE committee please also mention that when you get a phone call from a NAFE officer indicating your areas of interest or special experience.

Very truly yours,

Arthur Schwartz, Esq., CAE

Executive Director
